Description
A boning rod is a wooden strip arranged in T-shapes to draw parallel and straight lines appropriately with a certain distance. The horizontal stripe is 10mm deep, and the vertical strip is 100mm deep. Boning rods use horizontal lines or lines with a constant slope.
It is mainly used for setting out canal excavation works and for roads and dyke construction.
To set out horizontal lines or lines with a continuous slope, the elevation of two points on the line must be known.
It can be substituted with a ranging rod to make a straight line or carry out a survey process.
